Toones Academic Music is offering for the fourth year a full day program in Foster City. Toones invites you on an imaginary journey in time to the Centuries of the Roman Empire that are steeped in classical history, amazing culture and invention. It will be a journey built around a fascinating theme of language and creativity with playful activities that culminate in a masterpiece project. Each weekly session introduces new Latin (root of many European languages) words, inventions and fun ancient board-games and joyful outdoor activities.

Saturday May 15th 2010, during the annual MTAC board meeting Bonnie Knight president of the Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC-SF) endorsed Toones Academic Music(TAM)'s educational program.

President Bonnie Knight presented TAM to the MTAC board and asked the board members to vote yes or no for supporting TAM. All members voted yes. MTAC-SF's support and the president's endorsement would allow TAM to receive additional educational and financial support if TAM applies for.

"The S.F. Branch is the founder of the MTA. Since 1897, the organization has been expanding throughout California. The S.F. Branch now is one of the large branch in the State of California and actively participates with many other branches at the Annual Convention."

We are so happy to hear this great news from the Koo family - Tyler was accepted into the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program after he took the GATE test in last December. Tyler has been attended Toones Academic Music classes since Sept, 2009. Prior to that, he has been taking private piano lessons with Endre Balogh (Founder of Toones Academic Music) for 2+ years.

TAM is now offering high quality music-based educational program at Foster City. Your child will enjoy instruction with games, learn musical history and theory through drawing and coloring, receive individual piano one-to-one instructions and engage in critical thinking/problem solving with hands on activities.
